Santana Maria started singing at the young age of 9 years old. She is a regular member of THE MOUNTAINEER OPRY of MILTON, WEST VIRGINIA. Santana Maria does not JUST SING. She is a song writer and an accomplished musician in her own right. Santana plays the GUITAR, BANJO, FIDDLE, MANDOLIN and PIANO. Plus, Santana has her own 5 piece band "THE STETSON COWBOYS." Santana has opened shows for GRAND OLE OPRY members such as: BRAD PAISLEY, JACK GREENE, JIM AND JESSE, JOHNNY LEE and bluegrass bands such as: DALE ANN BRADLEY & COOON CREEK, CARL STORY'S RAMBLING MOUNTAINEERS, THE LEWIS FAMILY, DOYLE LAWSON & QUICKSILVER, J.D. CROWE and more. Santana has also played dates at the NASHVILLE PALACE and the ERNEST TUBB MIDNIGHT JAMBOREE, both are in Nashville, Tennessee. She has also performed for large corporate conventions at the HUNTINGTON CIVIC CENTER, Huntinton WV and the PARAMOUNT ART CENTER, Ashland KY. and has played a part in two movies "WE ARE MARSHALL" and "BURNING ANNIE"! In addition to the above, Santana Maria entered MARSHALL UNIVERSITY in HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA at the age of 13 where she started working on a double major. At age 19 she was Marshall University's youngest graduate. With all this experience, SANTANA MARIA IS DESTINED FOR STARDOM! |
